Christmas Eve Service Changes

Christmas Eve Service Changes

After much consideration and discussion, a decision has been made to postpone the Children's Christmas Eve service and move it to a date to be determined in January.

Several factors played a part in the decision to reschedule, including the number of children absent in the last week, the concern for rising illness in the community and the difficulty in making worship happen with called workers and lay people unable to be present.

An alternate service will take place on Christmas Eve at 4:00pm in Wonewoc and 7:00pm in Hillsboro. Christmas Day services will be held as was previously planned at 8:30am in Hillsboro and 10:00am in Wonewoc. Sunday services on December 26 will be at the regular service times of 8:00 and 10:30am.

While the children's service on Christmas Eve is a beloved tradition for many families and an opportunity to share God's Word with family and friends visiting for the holiday, it is just one of the ways we can give thanks to God for the gift of his Son. We pray those who are able can take advantage of the other opportunities for Christmas worship this weekend. Our celebration of Christmas carries on for days to come, and we'll look forward to the students' sharing the good news of our Savior's birth at the new service date in January.

Please help get the word out to friends and family. Thank you.
