VOTERS’ MEETING—OCTOBER 10
We will be having a recall voters' meeting on October 10, 7:00pm at the Wonewoc Campus. This meeting will be held to discuss and potentially take action on the proposal brought to us regarding construction of a childcare center, which was introduced at the previous voters' meeting in September. Printed copies of the project agreement documents will be available at church this Sunday for review prior to the meeting; you can also email Pastor Limpert (revlimpert@stpaulhw.com) for digital copies.
SUNDAY SCHOOL STARTING SOON
Sunday School will be resuming on October 20. Registration forms can be found in the narthex to help us get a starting headcount, but drop-ins are always welcome. Sunday School is held at the Hillsboro Campus at the same time as Adult Bible Study, beginning around 9:15.
DIVINE CALL RETURNED
Pastor Timothy Wempner has returned the call to serve as our associate pastor. We thank him for his time in deliberation and pray for God’s continued blessings on his ministry. A new call meeting date will be announced as soon as it is scheduled.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Sunday Bible study is currently studying a series called “Living My Life as a Christian.” This study addresses a wide variety of Christian living topics that new and seasoned believers can struggle to apply in their lives. Bible study takes place at 9:15 at both campuses.
LUTHERAN MILITARY SUPPORT GROUP AMMO CAN CAMPAIGN
LMSG, a partnership of ELS and WELS veterans, works to grow awareness of and bring Christian support to military members and their families in our congregations and beyond. By placing your gift in the AMMO can located in the narthex/on the back table, you are supporting the work of local congregations that are ministering to nearby military families, the WELS chaplain program, the MCP (Military Contact Pastor) program training, and more. LWMS SCENIC SOUTH CENTRAL FALL RALLY—OCTOBER 19
The Scenic South-Central Circuit Fall Rally of the Lutheran Women’s Mission Society will be held on October 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hillpoint. Registration and fellowship begins at 9:00am and opening devotion with Pastor Daniel Lewig starts at 9:30am. Guest speakers will be Aaron Wakeman and Nathan Golisch from Friends Network. FN recruits, trains, sends, and supports lay missionaries around the world. All ladies of our congregation are members of LWMS and all are invited to come and learn more about their mission and projects.
