CALLED HOME TO HEAVEN
On December 31, the Lord called out from this world the soul of our dear sister, Valerie Hagemann. We pray for the Lord to comfort Val’s family during this time of grief and to lead all of us to rejoice in the sure hope of the resurrection to eternal life. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 12 noon at St. Paul’s Wonewoc, A time of visitation will be held at the Church on Sunday, January 5th from 1 to 5 pm. and on Monday from 11 am. to noon.
DIVINE CALLS
A divine call has been extended to Mrs. Sarah Burgess to serve as 1st & 2nd grades teacher. A divine call has been extended to Miss Jennifer Shaw to serve as 5th & 6th grades teacher. Please keep these workers and their families in your prayers as they deliberate where they can best serve their Savior. CALL MEETING
The next Kindergarten teacher and pastoral call meeting will be January 16, 6:30pm at the Wonewoc Campus.
ECM BUDGET PLANNING MEETING
An ECM Committee meeting will be held on January 7, 5:00pm at the Wonewoc Campus. This meeting will focus on budgeting for the early childhood center. All who have interest and skills in this area are encouraged to attend, even if you have not been to ECM Committee meetings before; you can contribute to this work without committing to attending monthly committee meetings.
PANTHER PARENT COMMUNITY SUPPER—JANUARY 15
Mark your calendars for January 15 for the “Cabin Fever Spaghetti Supper” sponsored by the Panther Parents. Come and enjoy a delicious meal and some fellowship. The meal is free to all.
COMPLINE WORSHIP
After the spaghetti meal, please stay and join us for a special Prayer at the Close of Day (Compline) worship time beginning at 7:00pm. This is a beautiful quiet way to end your day in meditation and prayer.
CHURCH CLEANERS—WONEWOC CAMPUS
There is a sign-up sheet for cleaners for the year on the back table at Wonewoc. PLEASE consider signing up for 1 or more weeks to help! Since there is no line item in the budget for a church custodian, we rely on the willingness of volunteers to keep God’s house clean and tidy as befitting him. It takes just few hours each week. You can clean alone or team up with friends and family members to accomplish the task. Call the office (608-464-321) if you have questions.
2025 OFFERING ENVELOPES
If you have not picked up your 2025 offering envelope packets, they are available in the church basement at Wonewoc and in the entry at Hillsboro. If you did not receive a packet and would like one, please let the office know (608-464-3212) and we will get you one asap.
UN-DECORATING
Trees and Christmas decorations at the Wonewoc campus will be taken down next Saturday, January 11 beginning at 9:30am. If we have a few people to help, it should be done in an hour.
