CALLED HOME

Eileen McDermott, age 62 was called from this world to eternal glory on September 11.  Services for Eileen were conducted on September 18, at the Picha Funeral Home, Wonewoc.  We mourn with the family, but rest on God’s promise of eternal life and salvation through Jesus, our Savior.

SR. CHOIR PRACTICE

Adult choir practice is held every Wednesday evening at 8:00pm at the Wonewoc campus in church. You don’t have to be an expert singer; no one is a professional, so come join us in singing praises to our Lord and have some fun and fellowship as well!

SCHOOL PLAYGROUND WORKDAY

We will be having a workday on Sunday, September 24th (today) right after church to put in the new playground equipment. If you can lend a hand for a couple of hours, it would be much appreciated.

FALL LWMS RALLY

St. Paul, Wonewoc is hosting the fall rally of the LWMS Scenic South-Central Circuit on Thursday, October 19th.  Registration begins at 9:00am.  All ladies who are members of St. Paul’s are also members of LWMS.  Come see how the work of LWMS supports WELS missions both at home and throughout the world. There was an envelope in your envelope packet on August 14 for LWMS support.  You can still use that envelope if you wish to support the work of LWMS, or if you prefer, you can just put a gift in a plain envelope marked LWMS by October 1.  Thank you.

SCRIP CARDS

We have SCRIP cards available for immediate purchase or you may order in advance.  We have Kwik Trip gas and gift or grocery only cards on hand that may be picked up after church on Sunday or at the office during the week. CONCESSION HELP NEEDED FOR GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

St. Paul’s School is hosting a volleyball tournament at the Wonewoc-Center High School on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023.  The A team girls will be participating. This is our school’s only tournament. It makes the largest amount of money for our athletic fund, benefiting all our athletes for the entire year. For that reason we are asking for help from all parents, church members, and friends!  Concession help is the greatest need.  We would like for the A team parents to be able to watch their daughter play and not have to man the concessions. If you know anyone who can help out, (ie. former students or grandparents) please encourage them to volunteer. There is a sign-up sheet on the back table (Wonewoc) or email speterson@stpaulhw.com.
