POTLUCK AND ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL SPRING PROGRAM APRIL 28
St. Paul’s School Spring Program is Sunday (April 28) at 1:00pm. A church potluck is being held after the 10:30am service in Wonewoc, today, so join us for lunch and then come see the students as each class performs songs and skits. All are welcome!
CALL MEETING
Sunday, April 28 at 4:00pm is the date and time for the next pastor call meeting. We will meet at the Wonewoc campus.
WORSHIP AND QUARTERLY MEETING – MAY 5TH
The quarterly voters’ meeting will take place on Sunday, May 5, at 10:00am at the Hillsboro campus. Agenda items include updates on different areas of our ministry, membership changes, and approval of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. There is only one worship service that day at 9:00am. Adult Bible Class will be at 8:00am. There is no Sunday School that day.
DISTRICT SUNDAY SCHOOL CONFERENCE—JULY 20
A Sunday School Conference will be held on July 20 at the Wonewoc campus. Speakers will present on various topics related to Sunday School ministry. LWMS SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER
Thank you to all who donated crafts and baked items, or who purchased these items in support of the LWMS Scholarship Fundraiser. A total of $4,102 was raised in the various congregations in the district to help award scholarships to students in the district attending synod schools preparing for the ministry.
CHANGE FOR LIFE
Again, this year, our congregation is participating in the Change for Life Program to support the ministry of New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers. New Beginnings is a WELS based ministry that helps single mothers pave the way to self-sufficiency in a Christ-centered home. Beginning on Mother’s Day we will give gifts to build a better future for the mothers and babies they serve. Look for the Change for Life display on May 12. Pick up a baby bottle, take it home and have everyone in your household fill it with their spare change. On Father’s Day, return the filled bottle to church where the money collected will be sent to help the mothers and babies at New Beginnings.
