Announcements: September 22
HOLY BAPTISM
Kasen Alton Frisk, infant son of Aaron and Kelsey Frisk will receive the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit when he is baptized today. May God richly bless the Frisk family with love, health, and above all a strong faith in Jesus our Savior.
DIVINE CALL EXTENDED
A divine call has been extended to Pastor Timothy Wempner to serve as associate pastor. Pastor Wempner currently serves Living Hope Lutheran Church in West Allis, WI. Please keep Pastor Wempner and his family in your prayers as he deliberates this call.
EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRY CENTER PROGRESS
Approval was given at the voters’ meeting on September 12 to pursue a proposal brought to us by the Hillsboro city administrator regarding starting our ECM center. This plan would involve the city working with a developer to build a center on the land we had previously purchased, which we would then rent with the option to purchase the building in the future. More details can be found on the back table/in the narthex.
LWMS OFFERING ENVELOPE
LWMS offerings are due by October 8. The envelope was in the packet on August 11th and may be turned in any time before that date. (October 6th is a Sunday). Projects supported with our gifts this year are Campus Ministry and Asia Lutheran Seminary.
SENIOR CHOIR
Senior choir is restarting, and we welcome singers of all skill levels. Whether you’re experienced or new to singing, you’re invited to join us. It’s a great opportunity to come together and enjoy making music. Feel free to bring your voice and join the group. Rehearsals will be held after the Monday night church service, starting about 8pm. The first rehearsal will be September 30. Our 20-30 minute rehearsal is a great blend of music, fun and fellowship. If you have any questions, please call Alma Schnurr at 715-225-2723.
SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY
Sunday Bible study is currently studying a series called “Living My Life as a Christian.” Putting your Christian faith into practice is a lifelong pursuit that requires consistent guidance, solid biblical wisdom, and daily reminders of God’s grace. This study addresses a wide variety of Christian living topics that new and seasoned believers often struggle to apply to their lives. Bible study takes place at 9:15 at both campuses.
LUTHERAN MILITARY SUPPORT GROUP AMMO CAN CAMPAIGN
LMSG, a partnership of ELS and WELS veterans, works to grow awareness of and bring Christian support to military members and their families in our congregations and beyond. By placing your gift in the AMMO can located in the narthex/on the back table, you are supporting the work of local congregations that are ministering to nearby military families, the WELS chaplain program, the MCP (Military Contact Pastor) program training and more.
