BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST
Silas Jordan Schraufnagel, infant son of Jordan and Stacey Schraufnagel, born May 29, will receive the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit when he is baptized in the early service today. We praise God for having brought Silas into his family and pray that he will continue to bless and keep him.
BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS—NEW SESSIONS BEGINS SOON
A new session of New Life in Christ will meet Thursday evenings, 6:00 at the Wonewoc Campus, beginning November 7. This class is especially geared toward those interested in becoming members of the congregation. It is also open to anyone who would like to learn more about what the Bible teaches, including current members looking for a Catechism review. Contact Pastor Limpert for more information.
ECM UPDATE
At the voters’ meeting on October 10, the voters’ approved moving ahead with working with a developer on construction of a childcare center. This construction is planned for completion by September of next year. If you have any questions, talk to Pastor Limpert or Chris Frick.
CALL MEETING—OCTOBER 29
The next call meeting is planned for October 29 at 7:00pm at the Wonewoc campus. This call meeting will be not only for a pastor, but also for teachers for next year. All are welcome to attend.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Sunday Bible study is currently studying a series called “Living My Life as a Christian.” This study addresses a wide variety of Christian living topics that new and seasoned believers can struggle to apply in their lives. Bible study takes place at 9:15 at both campuses.
LUTHERAN MILITARY SUPPORT GROUP AMMO CAN CAMPAIGN
LMSG, a partnership of ELS and WELS veterans, works to grow awareness of and bring Christian support to military members and their families in our congregations and beyond. By placing your gift in the AMMO can located in the narthex/on the back table, you are supporting the work of local congregations that are ministering to nearby military families, the WELS chaplain program, the MCP (Military Contact Pastor) program training, and more. LADIES AID FALL CHILI SOCIAL
The Ladies Aid is hosting a fall chili social on Wednesday evening, November 6 from 5-7pm at the Wonewoc campus. There will be a sign-up sheet for food donations on 10-13 and 10-27 at Wonewoc and one at Hillsboro on 10-20 at Wonewoc. A special prayer service for the Close of Day is to follow at 7:00pm. St. Paul’s piano students will be playing pre-service music that evening as well.
