DIVINE CALLS
On Sunday, March 2 the voters extended a call to Miss Vicki Humann to teach Kindergarten. Miss Humann is currently serving at St. John’s in Sparta.
The voters also extended a call to Pastor Craig Engel to serve as associate pastor. Pastor Engel is currently serving at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Willmar, MN.
Please keep Pastor Engel and Miss Humann in your prayers as they deliberate where the Lord would have them serve. Call status and contact information for called workers can be found at stpaulhw.com/calls.
MID WEEK LENT WORSHIP
Mid-week worship for Lent will be at the Wonewoc campus this week and next with service times at 4:00pm and 6:30pm. There will be a supper in between the services. The next 3 weeks will be at the Hillsboro campus with worship at the same time and suppers between.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION WEEK
Christian Education Week runs from March 17—21. Some special activities and dress up days will take place. Dress -up days are as follows:
Monday: "HEROES OF THE BIBLE DAY"—Dress up as famous bible character (ex. David, Mary, Moses) or wear a cape or favorite hero costume to represent Hero of faith.
Tuesday: "ARMOR OF GOD"—-Come dressed in camouflage or sports gear to symbolize being part God's Army.
Wednesday: "WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT"—wear mismatched or wacky clothes to represent trusting God even when things don't make sense
Thursday: "LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE"— Dress in Bright Neon or white to symbolize being the light of the world
Friday: " FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT" — Each classroom wears a color representing Fruit of the Spirit. Colors will be given to students this week.
There will be some games and activities planned on some of the school days. Since Friday is a parent transport day, Panther Parents will be providing lunch for students and then planning some fun activities and snacks for after school on Friday. On March 23, all students will sing at the 10:30am worship service in Wonewoc. The Scholastic Book Fair will be at our school that week as well. Hours for shopping will be posted next week.
EASTER LILY ORDERS
Information regarding Easter flowers from Blossoms and Bouquets in Wonewoc. are on the table in back. Blossoms and Bouquets offers a discount if you order before April 4. You can return order forms in the offering plate and we will get them to Blossoms, or call Bridget at 608-464-3240 to order directly.
