CALLED HOME
On Wednesday, June 7, the Lord, in his infinite wisdom and compassion summoned to his side the soul of his servant, Douglas Durkee. Funeral services for Doug were held on Saturday, June 10, at St. Paul, Hillsboro. Please remember the Durkee family in your prayers that they may be comforted by the eternal promise of the Lord’s Gospel.
H.O.P.E. WALK
The H.O.P.E. (Helping Our People Everyday) Walk will be held this year on June 16, from 6pm to 11pm at the Hillsboro High School track. H.O.P.E. is a local fundraising effort to help people in our communities who have been affected by cancer. The funds stay in our local community. There will be music, activities and, of course, the walk. You can find out more information on their Facebook page.
CHANGE FOR LIFE
Next Sunday, June 18, is the day to turn in your Change for Life baby bottles. Again, this year, our congregation is participating in the Change for Life Program to support the ministry of New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers. New Beginnings is a WELS based ministry that helps single mothers pave the way to self-sufficiency in a Christ-centered home. Look for the Change for Life display in back and pick up a baby bottle, and fill it with spare change

JULY 14 - WELS NIGHT AT THE LOGGERS
Enjoy a night at watching a matchup between the La Crosse Loggers and the Duluth Huskies on July 14. CAMP PHILLIP
Camp Phillip is a WELS based Christian camp in Wautoma, WI that provides provide relaxation in creation and renewal in Christ to youth, adults, families, churches and schools throughout the year. JULY 9 – VALERIE HAGEMANN RETIREMENT GET TOGETHER
Please join us in a celebration of thankfulness on July 9, as we recognize Mrs. Hagemann’s retirement from teaching after 45 years of dedicated service to our congregation and the Lord. The event will begin at the 10:30am worship service (Wonewoc campus) with a meal and fellowship to follow in the church basement. Meat/main course will be provided and we are asking for everyone else to bring sides/desserts/and salads, potluck style. If you know of someone that might want to be present for this special occasion, please feel free to let them know.
