CALLED HOME
It has pleased the Almighty to summon to his side the souls of his servants Jerry Ott, age 78, and Ethel Degner, age 95. A private graveside service was conducted on Friday, June 16 for Jerry at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Services for Ethel were held on Saturday, June 17, at Picha Funeral Home, Wonewoc. May those who mourn find comfort in the eternal promise of the Lord’s Gospel.
CHANGE FOR LIFE
Today, Sunday, June 18, is the day to turn in your Change for Life baby bottles. Again, this year, our congregation is participating in the Change for Life Program to support the ministry of New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers. New Beginnings is a WELS based ministry that helps single mothers pave the way to self-sufficiency in a Christ-centered home. Thank you for your support of this ministry.
JULY 14 - WELS NIGHT AT THE LOGGERS
Enjoy a night at watching a matchup between the La Crosse Loggers and the Duluth Huskies on July 14. CAMP PHILLIP
Camp Phillip is a WELS based Christian camp in Wautoma, WI that provides provide relaxation in creation and renewal in Christ to youth, adults, families, churches and schools throughout the year. JULY 9 – VALERIE HAGEMANN RETIREMENT GET TOGETHER
Please join us in a celebration of thankfulness on July 9, as we recognize Mrs. Val Hagemann’s retirement after 45 years of dedicated service to her Savior, as she faithfully carried out her call to teach at St. Paul's School. The event will begin at the 10:30 am worship service at St. Paul - Wonewoc with a meal and fellowship to follow in the church basement. If you know of someone that might want to be present for this special occasion, please feel free to let them know of the date. Everyone is welcome. . Meat/main course will be provided and we are asking for everyone else to bring sides/desserts/and salads, potluck style.
