PANTHER PARENTS MEETING - JULY 25TH
Are you looking for a way to help our school? Well, the Panther Parents may be just for you. The Panther Parents is an organization that looks to broaden the involvement of students, students’ parents, and all members of the congregation in school activities. Panther Parents does this through the participation of anyone who has a desire to support the mission of our school. Panther Parents works with the faculty to raise funds, assist with school programs, promote fellowship and goodwill, and encourage participation in all school and church activities. You do not need to have children enrolled to help assist the children of our congregation. If you are interested in helping or just need more information, please join us for a meeting/discussion on Tuesday, July 25th at 6:30PM (note time change from last week’s announcement) in the Wonewoc church basement. We look forward to seeing you there!
QUARTERLY VOTERS MEETING
The quarterly congregational meeting will be held on August 6 at the Wonewoc Campus at 10:00am. There is only one service that day at the Wonewoc Campus at 9:00am. A potluck will follow the meeting. All members are encouraged to attend.
SCHOOL REGISTRATION
School Registration will take place on August 6 after the worship service at Wonewoc. Registration will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 at the school. If you can’t make it on August 6th, please call or email the church school office to schedule another time to register. We are asking that parents complete registration by August 15, so as to help us with a final school enrollment before the end of the month.
HELP NEEDED FOR THE HILLSBORO CHARITY TRACTOR PULL
The Hillsboro Charity Tractor Pull is Friday, August 11 and Saturday August 12 at the Hillsboro Fairgrounds. Our church will be selling pizzas and ice cream Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help in the food stands and, in the grandstand, selling the concessions and with cleanup at the end of the night. There is a sign-up sheet at both campuses and online at stpaulhw.com. Our church and school benefit from this event, and if you can help, please sign up. You don’t have to be there the whole time; there are different shift times available Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday. Anyone can help; kids are encouraged to help right along with their parents. And you get to see the pulls as a bonus!
JOINT SUMMER SERVICE – AUGUST 13
On Sunday, August 13th, there will be a single, joint worship service for St. John, St. Matthew, and St. Paul. It will be at 10am at the Elroy fairgrounds. During the service, the new St. Paul principal, Matt Wurster, and the new St. Paul teacher, Ashley Peterson, will be installed. There will be a potluck meal afterwards, so bring a dish to pass. We will have some seating there, but if you can, bring lawn chairs There will be more info in the next couple of weeks.
