ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Worship services are the primary time God’s people gather together, but it’s not the only time. In a Bible Study setting, we take time to focus on narrower topics—specific books of the Bible, areas of doctrine, and aspects of our Christian lives. Take advantage of these opportunities to study the Scriptures together with others. We offer a variety of Bible study classes during the year. Whether young or old, experienced Christian or curious observer, join us as we take time to learn more of God’s Word for us together. Bible Study meets weekly at both campuses at 9:15. Starting September 10 the topic is “Worship Walkthrough.” Have you ever given much thought to what we do in a worship service? Understanding not only what happens at church but also why it happens can help make our time in worship more impactful. In this study we’ll review biblical principles for Christian worship and see how God’s Word is woven through every part of our services.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday school will begin on September 10. It is held at the Hillsboro campus and begins at 9:15 each Sunday. Speak to Pastor Snyder or Pastor Limpert if you are interested in this for your kids. There are registration forms at Hillsboro as well to sign your child up.
COOKOUT/BONFIRE
St. Matthew's, Ontario is having fellowship event this Sunday night, September 3 at their parsonage, which is right next to the church. The starting time is 5:00pm. Food and lemonade will be provided. You are asked to bring a lawn chair and, if you’d like, a choice beverage to share. Free food and cheap fireworks!
RAISE RIGHT FUNDRAISING GIFT CARDS
Hello, my name is Brooks Mitchell. I have been our school's Raise Right (formerly known as SCRIP) coordinator since January of this year.
Raise Right provides us with one of the easiest fundraising techniques. Everyone shops, whether it’s groceries, clothing or building projects. Raise Right has hundreds of gift cards and eGift cards available online and gives a certain percentage from each card back to our school.
The most popular card is Kwik Trip which we keep physical cards on hand in the school office during the week and before or after church from Bev Ward, Kelli or Steve Mitchell, and myself. The other cards can be ordered through our order form. (see me about this), or online (physical or eGift) at raiseright.com. The code to join our group is 2CA4CAEL42367.
Ordering physical cards online can be pricey if you choose to have them shipped to your home. I would suggest choosing “ship to coordinator”. Please contact me at the information below and I would be glad to answer any questions that you have. Thank you.
