DIVINE CALLS
Pastor Kurt Schaser and Mrs. Sarah Schaser have returned the divine calls to serve in our church and school. We thank them for their time in deliberation and ask God’s continued blessings on their ministries. Since there is not enough time to extend another teacher call, we have requested a graduate from MLC to fill the teacher vacancy. A date for a pastor call meeting is to be determined.
LWMS SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER
On April 14 (Wonewoc Campus) there will be a craft and bake sale held after the 10:30am service to support scholarships for students in our area congregations who attend one of our ministerial education schools. Stop in and check out the “Share Your Talents” fundraiser which feature the crafting and culinary gifts of our congregation.
LWMS SPRING RALLY
The Scenic South Central Circuit of the LWMS will be having their spring rally on Saturday, April 20 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo, WI. Registration and fellowship are at 9:00am with opening devotion starting at 9:30. The guest speaker is Ryan Halter from Kingdom Prep Lutheran High School in Waukesha. All ladies of the congregations are invited to attend.
DISTRICT SUNDAY SCHOOL CONFERENCE—JULY 20
A Sunday School Conference will be held on July 20 at the Wonewoc campus. Speakers will present on various topics related to Sunday School ministry. SENIOR CHOIR NEWS
If you've been interested in seeing what Senior Choir is about, but perhaps the time has been wrong, we are trialing a new day and time. Sunday, April 28th, Sunday, May 5th, and Sunday, May 12th we will be rehearsing after the 10:30 service at Wonewoc. We will start about 11:40 and rehearsal will last 20-30 minutes. We will sing during the 10:30 service on Sunday, May 19th for the Confirmation service.
CLEAN UP DAY—APRIL 26
Clean Up Day in Wonewoc happens on Saturday, April 27. There are some other activities taking place that day, so we are looking for some volunteers that could meet after school at 3:30pm on April 26 to load a trailer with junk to take to the clean-up. This should not take long but requires some lifting. Talk to the office if you have any questions.
POTLUCK AND ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL SPRING PROGRAM APRIL 28
St. Paul’s School Spring Program is on April 28 at 1:00pm. A church potluck is being held after the 10:30am service in Wonewoc, that same day, so join us for lunch and then come see the students as each class performs songs and skits. All are welcome!
