DIVINE CALL

Last Sunday, the voters called Pastor Brian Schwarz to serve as our associate pastor.  Pastor Schwarz currently serves at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in East Wenatchee, WA.  Please keep Pastor Schwarz and family in prayer as he deliberates where he can best serve our Savior.  

5-6 GRADE TEACHER WELCOME AND INSTALLATION

This Sunday, July 28, we will have installation for Mr. Justin Peter, our new 5-6 grade teacher.  Mr. Peter has graciously accepted the call to teach for this year only as an emergency teacher.  Mr. Peter is from Portage, Michigan.  He will be installed at the 10:30am service in Wonewoc.  We will have light refreshments after the service, so please come and join us and welcome him. 

COMING IN AUGUST—NEW MID-WEEK WORSHIP SCHEDULE

Next week, August 4, the 7:00pm weeknight service will be changing from Thursday evenings to Monday evenings.  (There will be no Thursday evening service on August 1. The weeknight service for that week will be on August 5).

QUARTERLY VOTER’S MEETING AUGUST 4

The next quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held on August 4th at 10:00am at the Wonewoc Campus.  Because of this meeting, there will be only one worship service at 9:00am.  Bible class will be held at 8:00am.  Items on the agenda include membership changes, updates on various projects, and updates on financial organization. All members, voting and non-voting are encouraged to attend to learn about the work of our congregation and ask questions.

SCHOOL REGISTRATION

In-person school registration will take place on August 7,15 and 22. The time will be from 6:30-7:30.  Part of registration this year is parent attendance of a presentation/orientation.  Only one parent needs to be present to make it easier to accommodate everyone's schedules.  The presentation will be held 2 times each evening at 6:30 and 7:00.  With the choice of dates and times, every family should be able to find a time to register in-person. PREUSS HOUSE FIRE

Our members Danny and Morgan Preuss and family experienced a house fire last Saturday night. The damage was significant and may end up being a total loss.  We will have a door offering today for the Preuss family to help with financial needs as they regroup and recover from the loss of their home.  There is a basket in back if you would like to help.

HELP NEEDED FOR THE HILLSBORO CHARITY TRACTOR PULL

The Hillsboro Charity Tractor Pull is Friday, August 9 and Saturday August 10 at the Hillsboro Fairgrounds.  Our church will be selling pizzas and ice cream Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening. Set up and tear down will be taken care of, but WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help in the food stands and selling concessions in the grandstand. Our church and school benefit from this event, and if you can help, please sign up. There are different shift times available Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday. There is a sign-up sheet in back.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER NEEDED

We are looking for someone to serve as the Sunday School Coordinator/Teacher at the Hillsboro campus beginning this fall.  If you or someone you know might be interested, please reach out to Pastor Limpert or one of the elders.
