CALL MEETING
The next voters meeting to call a pastor will be on July 21, 2:00pm at the Wonewoc Campus.
TEACHER INSTALLATION TODAY
Today at the 10:30 service, Mr. Justus Kupsky, our new 7-8 grade teacher, will be installed. A potluck and welcome will take place after the service. All are invited to come and welcome Mr. Kupsky as he begins his ministry here at St. Paul’s.
5-6 GRADE TEACHER WELCOME AND INSTALLATION
Next Sunday, July 28, we will have installation for Mr. Justin Peter, our new 5-6 grade teacher. Mr. Peter has graciously accepted the call to teach for this year only as an emergency teacher. He just finished his 3rd year at Martin Luther College. Mr. Peter is from Portage, Michigan. He will be installed at the 10:30am service in Wonewoc. We will have light refreshments after the service, so please come and join us and welcome him.
PREUSS HOUSE FIRE
As some of you may already know, our members Danny and Morgan Preuss and family experienced a house fire last Saturday night. The damage was significant and may end up being a total loss. At this time, no material needs have been identified, but we would like to take a door offering for the Preuss family to help with financial needs as they regroup and recover from the loss of their home. There is a basket in back if you would like to help.
COMING IN AUGUST—NEW MID-WEEK WORSHIP SCHEDULE
Beginning the week of August 4, the 7:00pm weeknight service will be changing from Thursday evenings to Monday evenings. (There will be no Thursday evening service on August 1. The weeknight service for that week will be on August 5).
HELP NEEDED FOR THE HILLSBORO CHARITY TRACTOR PULL
The Hillsboro Charity Tractor Pull is Friday, August 9 and Saturday August 10 at the Hillsboro Fairgrounds. Our church will be selling pizzas and ice cream Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening. Set up and tear down will be taken care of, but WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help in the food stands and selling concessions in the grandstand. Our church and school benefit from this event, and if you can help, please sign up. There are different shift times available Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday. There is a sign-up sheet in back.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER NEEDED
St. Paul is looking for someone to serve as the Sunday School Coordinator/Teacher at the Hillsboro campus beginning this fall. If you or someone you know might be interested, please reach out to Pastor Limpert or one of the elders. Thanks to Lisa Johnson for her many years of faithful service.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL JULY 29-AUGUST 1
Come fly with us. Soon we’ll be Soaring High! That’s the name of this year’s vacation Bible school program. Kids ages 3-12 are invited to come learn about our best treasure—Jesus. The dates are July 29-August 1 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The place is St. Paul’s School. Invite your friends! There will be an adult session also and parents are encouraged to attend. Online registration is available by going to stpaulhw.com and clicking on the green bar at the top of the page. Or you may sign up in back. There is also a sign-up if anyone would be willing to provide snacks for the evenings. Registration deadline is July 21.
QUARTERLY VOTER’S MEETING AUGUST 4
The next quarterly Voters’ Meeting will be held on August 4th at 10:00am at the Wonewoc Campus. Because of this meeting, there will be only one worship service at 9:00am. Bible class will be held at 8:00am. Items on the agenda include membership changes, updates on various projects, and updates on financial organization. All members, voting and non-voting are encouraged to attend to learn about the work of our congregation and ask questions.
