CALLED HOME
On April 9, the Lord, in his infinite wisdom and compassion summoned to his side the soul of his servant Linda Rosko. A service of Christian Funeral for Linda was held on Saturday, April 12, at St. Paul Wonewoc campus. Please remember the family in your prayers that they may be comforted by the eternal promise of the Lord’s Gospel.
CONFIRMATION—APRIL 13
Today, at the 10:30am service, five young members of our congregation will confess their faith publicly and affirm that they are prepared to receive the Sacrament of the Altar. May we continue to support these young Christians and all the members of our congregation as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
CALL RETURNED
Pastor Craig Engel has returned the call to serve as associate pastor. We thank him for his time in deliberation. Our next step will be submitting a request for a graduate from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.
DIVINE CALLS
On Sunday, April 6, calls were extended to Dyllan and Elizabeth Jensen to serve as 5th and 6th grade and Kindergarten teachers respectively. A call was also extended to Elizabeth Eckert to teach 1st and 2nd grades. The Jensens are currently serving in Tacoma, WA and Ms. Eckert is not currently a called worker but is currently working at a WELS school. Please keep all these servants in your prayers as they deliberate where the Lord would have them serve. Call status and contact information for called workers can be found at stpaulhw.com/calls.
HOLY WEEK WORSHIP
This week’s schedule is as follows. Maundy Thursday worship will be at 4:00pm in Wonewoc and 6:30pm in Hillsboro. Good Friday worship will be at 1:00pm in Wonewoc and 6:30pm in Hillsboro. Easter Dawn worship will take place at 6:00am in Wonewoc with a breakfast to follow at 7:00. 8:30am Easter worship will be at Wonewoc with the school children singing for this service. Hillsboro campus will have worship at 10:30. (There will be no Monday evening service at Wonewoc on April 21).
CEMETERY CLEAN-UP
A clean-up day for the cemetery is being planned for Saturday, April 26, beginning at 9:00am. If you can’t be there right away just come when you can that morning. In case of bad weather, the rain date is the next Saturday, May 3.
