PASTOR CALL MEETING
Pastor Matthew Kuske has returned the call for associate pastor. The next pastor call meeting will be held June 9 at 2:00pm at the Hillsboro campus.79667
SUMMER BIBLE CLASS
Adult Bible class will continue through the summer at the usual Sunday time with “19 Minutes with Luther.” This year we’ll begin our study of the Apostles’ Creed. Topics covered include God’s creation and preservation, Christ’s person and work of salvation, and the nature of faith.
TIME CHANGE FOR JUNE LADIES AID
The June meeting of Ladies Aid will be held on June 5. They are going to have an evening meeting at 6:30 as a trial to see if that time would work better for some working gals. If you are interested, the meeting will be at the Wonewoc campus.
CHANGE FOR LIFE
Our congregation is participating in the Change for Life Program to support the ministry of New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers. New Beginnings is a WELS based ministry that helps single mothers pave the way to self-sufficiency in a Christ-centered home. If you picked up a baby bottle from the display in back, June 16, Father’s Day, is the deadline to return the filled bottle to church where the money collected will be sent to help the mothers and babies at New Beginnings.
H.O.P.E. WALK
The H.O.P.E walk will be held at the Hillsboro High School track on June 14 from 6—11pm. 100% of proceeds from this event is used locally to support those who have been affected by cancer. Along with the walk there are kids’ games, face painting, food stands, a pie sale and more.
POTLUCK AND FAREWELL FOR THE PETERSONS
Everyone is invited to join the potluck farewell this Sunday after the 10:30 service in Wonewoc for Ashley and Sydney Peterson who will both be leaving to serve their Lord elsewhere
HELP NEEDED
Panther Parents are still looking for help to serve breakfast at the Wonewoc Legion Hall on June 8. 10-12 workers are needed in 2 shifts from 7:00-9:00am and from 9:00-11:00am. Some of the proceeds will go to the gym floor. Go the Panther Parents Facebook page and events to sign up.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WORSHIP, MUSIC, AND THE ARTS
The 2024 National Conference on Worship, Music, and the Arts, is being held July 30-August 2, 2024, at Carthage College, Kenosha, Wis. The worship conference offers something for everyone, not only for pastors and musicians but also for lay people who love worship and want to encourage worship enrichment in their congregations.
