PASTOR CALL MEETING
A pastor call meeting will be held June 9 at 2:00pm at the Hillsboro campus.
SUMMER BIBLE CLASS
Adult Bible class will continue through the summer at the usual Sunday time with “19 Minutes with Luther.” This year we’ll begin our study of the Apostles’ Creed. Topics covered include God’s creation and preservation, Christ’s person and work of salvation, and the nature of faith.
CHANGE FOR LIFE
Our congregation is participating in the Change for Life Program to support the ministry of New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers. New Beginnings is a WELS based ministry that helps single mothers pave the way to self-sufficiency in a Christ-centered home. If you picked up a baby bottle from the display in back, June 16, Father’s Day, is the deadline to return the filled bottle to church where the money collected will be sent to help the mothers and babies at New Beginnings.
H.O.P.E. WALK
The H.O.P.E walk will be held at the Hillsboro High School track on June 14 from 6—11pm. 100% of proceeds from this event is used locally to support those who have been affected by cancer. Along with the walk there are kids’ games, face painting, food stands, a pie sale and more.
COMING IN AUGUST—NEW MID-WEEK WORSHIP SCHEDULE
The elders have approved a change of days for the weeknight service. Beginning the week of August 4, the 7:00pm weeknight service will be changing from Thursday evenings to Monday evenings. (There will be no Thursday evening service on August 1. The weeknight service for that week will be on August 5).
“MUSIC IN THE PARK”
On June 29 St. Paul’s School is sponsoring a “Music in the Park” event at Baker’s Field from 3:00 – 9:00pm. Four bands are scheduled to play and there will be 2 food trucks there for refreshment. There will be yard games and kids activities as well. Come enjoy some great music and fun! More info can be found on the Panther Parent event page.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WORSHIP, MUSIC, AND THE ARTS
The 2024 National Conference on Worship, Music, and the Arts, is being held July 30-August 2, 2024, at Carthage College, Kenosha, Wis. The worship conference offers something for everyone, not only for pastors and musicians but also for lay people who love worship and want to encourage worship enrichment in their congregations.
